About this Talk

While the treatment for T1D has seen many advancements in recent years, there nonetheless remains significant unmet need that could be addressed by disease-modifying therapies. This session will examine this unmet need and the current state of therapy in the setting of newly diagnosed T1D. In addition, this session will provide a baseline background on C-peptide and its characteristics as a biomarker.

  • Topic One: Current State of New-Onset T1D Therapy
  • Topic Two: Unmet Need in New-Onset T1D (What needs to get better and what isn’t being addressed?)
  • Topic Three: C-Peptide Background (Focused on its technical characteristics, utility, and limitations as a biomarker)
  • Panel Discussion: Are Things Good Enough as They Are?
