Julie Heverly
Vice President, Time in Range Coalition and Patient Advocacy, The diaTribe Foundation
About this speaker
At The diaTribe Foundation, Julie convenes 30+ international organizations to work collaboratively to promote the awareness and adoption of time in range as the primary metric for daily diabetes management. Through this work, Julie serves as an advocate for education, empowerment and partnership through regular interactions with national and international regulators, health care professionals and people with diabetes. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes more than a quarter of a century ago, Julie channeled her experience in the fields of government and community affairs into a new career with the American Diabetes Association. For more than two decades, she has worked to empower people with diabetes, serving as an advocate to highlight the lived-experience perspectives with the hope of improving the lives of others also living with diabetes. In 2023, Julie received the Lilly Leonard Award for patient advocacy.
